- Every school has a member of staff who is responsible for planning and implementation of all school-college partnership arrangements.

- When planning courses it is important to remember that schools term times for 2008-2009 and 2009-2010 are different from college term times.

- Stevenson College partnership document contains much the same detail.
- Jewel & Esk Valley College and Edinburgh's Telford College have their individual versions, to suit their situation.
- It is the responsibility of the Headteacher (or delegated person) to sign the School College Partnership document.

Background
- The National Strategy for School College Partnership document provides the full intentions for 'Lifelong Learning' and has invaluable exemplar material in its Appendices.
- The addition of more college courses sometimes introduces less familiar qualifications. Qualifications are all part of the Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework . An information card can be downloaded here which shows how they relate to each other.
- The SQA SfW Operational Guide provides the essential information for school and college staff responsible for the management of the paperwork etc for these courses. An information pack is also available.
