To ensure that we can offer centres an appropriate level of support and resourcing, it would be beneficial if you could identify whether your centre is likely to present candidates for this award in session 2008/09.
If you are likely to present candidates, please send the name of your centre and SQA centre number to to Mairi McKinley.
Please be assured that by sending these details you are not committing to presenting candidates. The details will only be used to gauge potential interest in this new Course.
Further details about the launch event in April will follow in due course.
SKILLS FOR WORK SUPPORT NETWORKS
SQA ran Skills for Work Support Networks during October and November 2007 for centres delivering, or considering to deliver, Skills for Work Courses. These events provided a range of benefits and opportunities including sharing of good practice, discussion and standardisation of interpretation of standards, exemplification of delivery models and sharing of pilot experiences. These events also covered internal and external Quality Assurance processes and provided centres with opportunities to informally discuss examples of their candidates' evidence with an external verifier. Six new Skills for Work Courses will be launched in Spring 2008, the date and venue for each event can be found below. For further information or to book a place please contact the appropriate person for the Course you are interested in.
