| Notes | Courses start in February See Sec Sch Manual This course is aimed at those with little previous experience of performing arts, who wish to develop basic skills in acting, music and dance. Drama and related activities are also used to increase self-confidence. The course consists of units in role play, creative drama, small-scale acting, play and theatre appreciation, introduction to dance. Assessment is conducted through practical exercises and project work, with some written assignments. Entry: There are no formal entry requirements, but all applicants will be interviewed. Enthusiasm and commitment are more important than formal qualifications or previous drama experience. Students should be willing to develop skills in Acting, Voice, Music and Dance. Also, an appropriate course for students wanting to develop confidence and personal skills. (2008) |
