| Notes | Courses start in February See Sec Sch Manual This course is made up of several units and is designed for people who are interested in achieving a business administration qualification. It is suitable for people in employment, school leavers and for full-time study. You may choose from the following units: recording financial transactions, preparing final accounts, economics of the market,contemporary macro-economics issues, economic structure of industry, considerations for self employment,communication, numeracy, marketing, basic principles, Scottish legal framework, contract law and employment law. Assessment is continuous throughout the course, and will vary according to the mode of study and subject being studied but will include written tests, projects, case studies, group exercises and oral presentations. Entry requirements: School leavers should have at least 4 Standard Grade passes at level 3 or above, one of which should be English. Good numeracy and IT skills are also desirable. (2008) |
