| Notes | Courses start in August See Sec Sch Manual This course, which is one of the leading and most successful Army Preparation Courses in the UK, allows you to develop the skills and qualities required for entry into the Army and achieve an SVQ Level 2. It is delivered in partnership with the Army and you will spend one and a half days a week in an Army environment at various locations across the UK, undertaking a variety of activities, tasks and challenges. A further 3 days are spent in college developing fitness, knowledge and practical skills. This provides a real insight and hands-on experience into Army life and equips you with the necessary skills and knowledge to successfully enter the Army or progress to related study. You should be at least 15 years old, have good communication skills, be physically fit and enjoy working with others. Selection for this course is by interview, in which oral and practical aspects will be assessed. (2008) |
