| Notes | Courses start in January See Sec Sch Manual This course concentrates on the development of practical skills and will enable you to prepare a portfolio of work and develop specialist skills in a range of disciplines. You will also have the opportunity to progress core skills in the areas of communication and information technology. There may also be an opportunity to take part in a study trip. You will take classes in drawing and painting, 2D and 3D design, and mixed media application. Entry requirements Evidence of drawing skills for example: drawing and sketchbook work is required for interview, alternatively completion of a practical assignment. This First Diploma in Art & Design is full-time. If you wish to undertake part-time study, you could study some of these units where you would achieve a BTEC 1st Certificate in Art & Design (2008). |
