City of Edinburgh Council Schools & Colleges Partnership

This course allows you to develop the knowledge and practical skills to lead sports activities. Each week you will spend two days in college and three half days in the workplace putting your leadership skills into practice. This course is ideal for those wanting to follow a career in sports coaching. 
Entry:  You should have an active interest in sport and good communication skills. You are required to be physically fit and show an enthusiasm for working with children. Selection for this course is by way of interview in which both oral and practical aspects will be assessed. (2008)
